HIAS Spring 2024 Advocacy Week
Spring Advocacy week has now concluded. If you would like to hear about future opportunities, please fill out this form.
Together, over the course of the week, you and your community and/or congregation will work to build relationships with your members of Congress and their staff to impress upon them the urgency and importance of ensuring the rights, safety, and dignity of displaced people in the United States and around the world.
Our Spring Advocacy Week is one of the best ways HIAS can demonstrate the wide support for refugees. We cannot do it without you.
The Spring Advocacy Week can be organized as either a standalone action or a continuation of HIAS’ Sixth Annual Refugee Shabbat (February 2-3, 2024).
Sign up below to register and receive more information, including upcoming events, trainings, resources, and talking points. HIAS staff will support your community through the entire process.
By registering for Spring Advocacy Week, you and your congregation/community will be required to do the following:
- Contact your members of the House and Senate to request a meeting with a few key people from your community.
- When you meet with your members of Congress, make concrete advocacy asks using talking points provided by HIAS.
