World Refugee Day: A Multi-faith Conversation
Hope Away from Home: A world where refugees are always included is the theme for World Refugee Day 2023. We can all do more to give refugees more hope – and more opportunities – while they are forced to be away from their homes. The faith community has a key role in providing resources and welcome to refugees upon their arrival to a new country and advocating for lasting solutions for refugees around the world.
Moderated by the Right Reverend Mariann Budde, Episcopal Bishop of the Diocese of Washington, you’ll hear from Mark Hetfield, President & CEO of HIAS; Anwar Khan, President of Islamic Relief USA; Bill Caney, Executive Director of the USCCB’s Department of Migration and Refugee Services as they discuss this year’s theme and how Congress can help make a more inclusive world for refugees.
