In honor of LGBTQ+ history month, please join the HIAS Pro Bono & Partnerships team for a special training on asylum for LGBTQ+ clients. Our co-panelist for this training will be Sarah Beth Pitney, immigration litigator and partner at the law firm Benach Collopy, LLP. This intermediate-level asylum training will discuss the complexities of “particular social group” formations, review recent legal precedents for LGBTQ+ asylum applicants, and provide crucial best practices on approaching LGBTQ+ clients with cultural humility.
