The UNHCR Global Trends report shows 108.4 million people at the end of 2022 were forcibly displaced worldwide, but recent fighting, especially in Sudan, has pushed the global total to an estimated 110 million as of May 2023.

20 jóvenes desplazados, refugiados y migrantes en Cartagena y Medellín podrán cursar sus estudios universitarios, becados por ACNUR El Programa DAFI (Iniciativa Académica Alemana Albert Einstein) de becas universitarias para personas refugiadas es financiado por el Gobierno alemán, y ofrece a sus participantes la posibilidad de obtener un título académico en el lugar de acogida. El Programa DAFI es gestionado por ACNUR a nivel mundial desde 1992 y será implementado por primera vez en Colombia, con el apoyo de la organización internacional HIAS.
