Join the HIAS Pro Bono and Partnerships Team and special guest speakers, Kim A. Baranowski, PhD, ABPP: Associate Director of the Mt. Sinai Human Rights Program, and Atar Stav, LCPC, Program Manager of Community-Based Group Services at HIAS, on Monday, September 16 from 2:00-3:30pm ET for an Advanced Asylum training on the ways in which lawyers can collaborate with mental health professionals to serve asylum-seeking clients and their needs. We will discuss the value of utilizing a mental health professional as an expert, as well as what to expect (and how to set expectations for a client) when collaborating with a mental health expert. We will also discuss how mental health experts and lawyers can work together generally to serve the complex needs that survivors of trauma and grief present. Please register in advance.
