A dialogue has also been triggered in the global Jewish community about what it can do to help, particularly in light of its own history as refugees seeking asylum from anti-Semitism. The Jerusalem Post reached out to Jewish aid organizations across the globe to find out what role they are playing to help refugees from Syria and the region and spoke with HIAS President and CEO Mark J. Hetfield.
