A wide variety of activities were held in the refugee camps in Chad to mark International Women’s Day on March 8, 2016, including debates, displays and parades. HIAS Chad was an enthusiastic participant in the day’s events. During the celebrations, leaders put emphasis on the empowerment of women through education, livelihoods activities, and making family planning accessible to all.
