Walk with Amal: Little Shoes, Big Journeys

HIAS is proud to cosponsor The Laboratory for Global Performance and Politics at Georgetown University special event welcoming Little Amal to the nation’s capital. 

Little Amal — whose name means ‘hope’ in Arabic — is a 12-foot puppet of a refugee Syrian girl. This special celebratory event is scheduled to begin at Freedom Plaza and to process to the grounds of the U.S. Capitol (final permits pending), where congressional representatives will be invited to meet Amal. Please march with us to celebrate Amal’s visit to Washington, D.C. and to shine a light on all refugee children in need of our care, attention, and support.
