Legal Coffee Talk: Best Practices for the Medical Exam
All non-U.S. citizens in the United States who are applying for their green cards must complete a medical exam as part of their application. The medical exam includes a review of the applicant’s medical history, a physical examination, screenings for certain communicable diseases, and checking if the applicant is up to date on their vaccinations. These exams are completed by USCIS-certified civil surgeons. Understanding common pitfalls and civil surgeon errors can help make this process much easier to navigate.
Join the Pro Bono and Partnerships Team on Thursday, January 23 from 2:00-3:00 pm ET (11:00 am – 12:00 pm PT) to discuss some of the issues that arise while completing the medical exam, including tips for working with civil surgeons. You must be registered to receive the webinar information. Please register in advance.
