Join advocates and subject matter experts for a conversation exploring the intersections of the threats to democracy rooted in antisemitism and anti-refugee animus, resulting policy outcomes, and productive ways to take action during this charged election year. 

Location in West LA with ample parking and access to transit to be shared after registration. Please register below.

Amy leads efforts to build an inclusive American democracy through national Jewish coalitions. Previously as Executive Director of Integrity First for America, she led the successful lawsuit against the neo-Nazis and hate groups involved in the Charlottesville violence. A graduate of Tufts University, Amy frequently appears in national media and has been awarded various fellowships and honors, including being named a Women in Power Fellow at the 92nd Street Y, a Truman National Security Project Fellow, a City & State 40 Under 40 Rising Star, and a NY Jewish Week 36 Under 36 Changemaker.

The granddaughter of Holocaust survivors, Jordanna brings over 15 years of experience leading programs, research, and educational initiatives. A winner of the 2014 Yad Vashem Award for Reseach, she’s presented internationally on contemporary antisemitism, teaching empathy, and the role of museums. Jordanna holds degrees in Holocaust studies from the University of Vermont and University of Haifa, as well as a certificate in combating antisemitism from the Spertus Institute.

Community Engagement Director, Western Region, HIAS

As the HIAS Community Engagement Director, Western Region, Joe mobilizes activists, organizations, and lawmakers across California to ensure that displaced people are treated with the dignity they deserve. Before joining HIAS, he worked at MAZON: A Jewish Response to Hunger, the JCRC Bay Area, and began his career working on several political campaigns and progressive advocacy efforts. Joe holds both a BA in Political Communication and Master’s of Political Management from The George Washington University in Washington, DC and lives in his native Los Angeles with his husband, Adam.
