HIAS on the Radio: In the Arena

Riva Silverman, vice president for external affairs at HIAS, appeared on In the Arena, a weekly radio program covering current events from a Catholic perspective, to talk about the ongoing refugee crisis on November 8, 2015.
"Throughout Jewish history we have cried for help, and our cries have fallen on deaf ears far too many times. Now that Jews in this country are in a position of safety and security, we feel its our responsibilty and part of our DNA to reach out to people who need someone to protect them," Silverman tells host Monsignor Kieran Harrington.
