After Three Years of Conflict, Sudanese Refugees Forge News Lives in Chad

HIAS Chad works with Sudanese women who have survived violence, through economic assistance and mental health care, in the Alacha camp on January 18, 2025 (Kouakaine Moundi/HIAS Chad). After Crossing 13 Countries, HIAS Helps Asylum Seeker Reunite with His Family

Fon, an asylee from Cameroon, reunites with his family in Washington, D.C. on December 5, 2025. HIAS provided Fon with legal and social services and helped him reunite with his wife and children. (HIAS) After crossing 13 countries, Fon finally reached safety in the U.S. as HIAS helped him rebuild his life and reunite with his family.
