Advocacy
Since its inception, HIAS has employed aggressive advocacy as a primary tenet of its mission and therefore is strongly invested in the process with a fully-staffed office of professionals in the nation's capital. One of the most effective ways for everyday people to make a difference beyond making monetary contributions to HIAS is to actively participate in the governmental processes of law-making. Letters to elected officials, petitions, rallies, and grass-roots campaigns are all very effective means of shaping policy in Washington. Join us in the fight!
